1. Clean body and footjoint of flute by dropping weighted end through the joined sections and gently pulling the fabric through the flute

2. Clean headjoint by overlapping fabric (near an edge to avoid too much thickness) over weighted end of swab, pushing fabric into headjoint (a) and twisting in circular direction (b)
